TOURISTS

MALCOLM and NATALIE PADGET

"The land looks really green everywhere," said Malcolm Padget.

He and his wife, Natalie, were touring Kangaroo Island by car. They had stayed two nights at American River and were on their way to Kingscote but paused to see Western Cove.

It was their second visit to Kangaroo Island; the first one was only a day-trip which they did many years ago.

Malcolm grew up in the Adelaide hills and in Ferryden Park. He worked 15 years for the Railways as a welder and boilermaker, followed by 20 years as a cost estimator with A.R.C. a company that reinforces houses.

Natalie grew up in Ferryden Park on a rural property where her father was a lucerne grower. She went to Muirden Business College and trained as a stenographer and typiste.

Both attend the Church of Christ in Adelaide; Malcolm converted during the Billy Graham Crusade in 1958.

They planned to attend the Uniting Church in Kingscote and also make Kingscote their base for touring more of the Island.

Malcolm and Natalie have two daughters and a son and four grandchildren.
