Jim was taking his relatives on a two-day trip by car to Kangaroo Island. He had a positive comment about Sealink they missed the ferry at Cape Jervis which could have meant forfeiting their fare but got put on the next ferry an hour later without penalty.

They decided to see Western Cove, followed by Kingscote, and Flinders Chase where they planned to stay overnight and do the Platypus Waterholes Walk and a trip to Admirals Arch. For Day 2 on their way back to the ferry they were considering Seal Bay, Murray Lagoon and Parndana Wildlife Park.
